臺灣女性藝術運動從1980年代開始醞釀，1990年代萌芽發展，且臺灣在1990年代的美術館與畫廊，除了舉辦女性藝術家的相關展覽之外，媒體的開放使得女性藝術的相關報導與出版等皆有顯著的增加，推動了臺灣當代女性藝術的發展。《重構世界：當代藝術中的性別與身體》展覽展出五位生命經驗與臺南有連結的當代女性藝術家作品，其創作媒材多元，包含錄像裝置、纖維編織、複合媒材、繪畫、攝影與現地創作等，引導觀眾思考無論是母親的身體、被社會性別化的身體、數位的身體與聲音、承載著文化符號的身體表層、藉由大量的身體勞動來呈現原民文化的符號與象徵，與藉由觀眾身體在展場的行走與參與，探討展場中線性虛空間與實體物質化空間的交錯，本展覽引導觀眾思考我們的身體與社會、文化、種族與虛實交疊的空間之關係。
The women’s art movement in Taiwan began to take shape in the 1980s and developed gradually throughout the 1990s. During this period, not only did museums and galleries in Taiwan organize exhibitions dedicated to female artists, but the liberalization of the media also brought a significant rise in reports and publications on women’s art, collectively driving the growth of contemporary female art practices in Taiwan.
Reconstructing Worlds: Gender and Body in Contemporary Art presents works by five contemporary female artists whose life experiences are closely connected to Tainan. The exhibition features a diverse range of media — including video installations, fiber art, mixed media, painting, photography, and site-specific works — guiding viewers to reflect on multiple dimensions of the body: the maternal body, the socially gendered body, the digital body and voice, the body’s surface as a bearer of cultural symbols, and the body engaged in labor that symbolizes Indigenous cultural meanings. Through viewers’ own movements and participation within the exhibition space, the works further explore the intersections between the linear and the void, and the material and the immaterial, prompting reflection on how our bodies relate to society, culture, ethnicity, and the interwoven realities of the physical and the virtual.

本次工作坊從展覽核心概念出發，以「織」作為追尋原住民身份與傳統文化的方式，透過雙手輕緩的反覆運動感受線材的觸感及圖紋的形成。
