Founded in August 1991, our Dance Department currently nurtures 50 talented students. We proudly stand as the only municipal senior high school in Central Taiwan to house a specialized program for artistically gifted and talented dance students. Under the visionary leadership of our faculty, our mission is to unlock each student’s exceptional potential, establish a rigorous foundation in professional dance, and cultivate outstanding artists in alignment with national cultural developments, all while enriching their aesthetic sensibility through various performances and activities.
Through a comprehensive and multi-faceted curriculum, we have paced ourselves steadily as we enter our 33rd year of nurturing professional dancers. Our students have consistently delivered dazzling results in both university admissions and national competitions. Notably, at the National Student Dance Competition—the most definitive and prestigious contest in Taiwan—our school achieved a spectacular "Triple Crown" in the 2025-2026 academic year, earning the highest "Outstanding" awards across all three categories: Classical, Modern, and Folk Dance. Furthermore, our college placement results rank the highest among all high school dance programs nationwide, firmly establishing our school as a paragon of secondary dance education in Taiwan.
For this performance, our students reflect on their three years of unwavering dedication—days spent dancing through the morning dawn, the scorching noon sun, and the evening twilight. It is a poetic journey capturing their evolution from the tender, green sprouts at daybreak to the radiant, mature fulfillment of the setting sun.
The program features nine meticulously choreographed pieces. We have invited esteemed choreographers from both home and abroad to create a diverse and eclectic repertoire spanning multiple genres and styles. The audience will experience the elegant romance of classical ballet; modern dance that showcases raw physical explosiveness and rich emotional depth; commanding and breathtaking martial arts choreography (Wugong); and Chinese classical and minority ethnic folk dances infused with traditional grace. Utilizing diverse physical techniques, ingeniously designed costumes, and professional lighting, this showcase brings various dance styles vividly to life, promising the audience a brand-new sensory experience and a profound artistic resonance.
