Dreams Soaring - National Symphony Youth Orchestra 2026 Winter Tour Concerts
The National Symphony Youth Orchestra (NSYO) is dedicated to recruiting exceptional young musicians from home and abroad, providing them with the unique opportunity to perform alongside world-renowned artists. In the winter of 2026, NSYO enters its sixth season. Under the baton of NSO Conductor Laureate Shao-Chia Lü, these rising stars of the music world will present the world premiere of Lee Yuan-Chen’s Upstream, alongside Dvořák’s iconic masterpiece, Symphony No. 9 in E minor, From the New World. The program also features the internationally acclaimed pianist Alexander Kobrin in a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor.
The repertoire offers a profound emotional journey: Lee Yuan-Chen’s Upstream captures the evocative spirit of Taiwan’s Hakka heritage; Dvořák’s New World Symphony overflows with nostalgia, hope, and the spirit of exploration; while Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto manifests the power of human resilience and depth of feeling. Spanning the modern and the classical, this tour will travel to Miaoli, Chiayi, Tainan, and Taipei. We warmly invite you to join NSYO on this vibrant musical journey and let your spirit soar with the music of youth!
