Presented by the Octagon Vocal Ensemble Tainan, in proud collaboration with the choirs of the East Gate Barclay Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Tai-peng-keng Maxwell Memorial Presbyterian Church, this performance harnesses refined choral artistry to manifest the profound, cross-cultural, and intergenerational power of music.

The carefully curated repertoire bridges international sacred classics and local Taiwanese masterpieces. Audiences will be treated to renowned choral works by global luminaries such as John Rutter and John Leavitt, juxtaposed with deeply rooted Taiwanese native creations and mother-tongue anthems, including Longing for the Spring Breeze , I Have a Dream , and Taiwan is a Treasure Island . This exquisite pairing offers a panoramic musical landscape where international prestige meets local heritage.
Through this sacred and professional synergy between an elite vocal ensemble and historic church choirs, the concert illuminates the deep-seated connections among faith, culture, and the civic spirit of Tainan.
