Xinhua Performance Hall
History
Xinhua Performance Hall is located between Xinhua Elementary School and Xinhua Junior High School. The planning of the Performance Hall started from 2001. After demolishing the old Xinhua Activity Center, the new Xinhua Performance Hall was to be built on the same site. The plan soon gained approval and the first two phases of the construction began in October 2006. In these two phases, the exterior of the building was completed. Then by capitalizing on the domestic demand expansion budget, the City Government oversaw the completion of the third and fourth phases of the construction, in which the interior of the building and the surrounding areas were furbished. The construction took three years and cost a total of NT$81.5 million, but the planning and the construction altogether actually took almost a decade. Xinhua Performance Hall was officially inaugurated on April 24th, 2010.
